FAQ
What is laminate parquet flooring?
Laminate parquet flooring features decorative patterns created by arranging small wood blocks. Historically, parquet flooring graced palaces and grand homes, with craftsmen painstakingly laying individual wood pieces to create intricate formations. Parquet laminate flooring captures this traditional aesthetic through high-resolution printing and advanced embossing, delivering authentic wood parquetry looks at accessible prices. The patterns also add architectural interest that standard plank laminate flooring can't achieve.
Types of parquet flooring patterns
Herringbone laminate flooring is the most popular parquet pattern, featuring rectangular planks arranged in a distinctive V-shaped zigzag formation. The angled layout creates dynamic visual movement, making rooms appear larger.
While our collection only features herringbone patterns, you can also find laminate laid in other patterns, including chevron with pointed tips, basketweave designed to mimic woven fabric, elaborate geometric Versailles patterns, and brick bond patterns that resemble brickwork.
Parquet laminate flooring colours and finishes
Our parquet laminate collection features classic herringbone patterns in the following tones:
-
Grey parquet laminate - Contemporary shades including pebble, driftwood and coastal tones perfect for modern interiors.
-
Oak parquet laminate - Traditional oak tones that honour authentic wood parquet.
-
Brown parquet laminate - Warm shades that add elegance.
-
Natural parquet laminate - Authentic wood tones celebrating organic grain patterns.
All of our parquet laminate features registry embossed finishes where texture aligns precisely with printed grain patterns for exceptional authenticity. This advanced embossing ensures that the geometric patterns feel realistic underfoot, with a tactile wood grain that follows the visual design.

Which rooms suit parquet laminate flooring?
Our parquet laminate features a 12mm thickness and durable construction, making it suitable for high-traffic areas and maintaining pattern integrity even in busy family homes. It's particularly striking in the living room and the hallway, where geometric patterns create focal points. It also brings a classic style to dining rooms and works beautifully in bedrooms, kitchens, conservatories and studies.
Parquet laminate isn’t fully waterproof so for bathrooms, we recommend bathroom LVT instead. For detailed advice, read our guide on which flooring is best for a bathroom.
How to lay parquet laminate flooring
First, plan your layout, measuring to ensure symmetry and balance. Then, you’ll need to prepare your subfloor, cleaning it and installing the right underlay for cushioning and protection. Once that’s done, simply follow the pattern, laying each plank down and ensuring that each piece aligns correctly. Our parquet laminate flooring uses a click-fitting method, allowing planks to simply click together without the need for adhesive, making installation easy.

Parquet laminate is low maintenance despite its intricate patterns.
