Working out the size of your room helps you determine the price of your flooring.If your room is a perfect square or rectangle, it’s pretty easy. You simply measure one of the walls, and then the joining wall connected to it. You then take both measurements and multiply one measurement by the other.If your room is in an “L” shape you will repeat the process for both “areas”. You separate the areas into perfect squares/rectangles. You would then measure one of the areas, and multiply the measurements for the first area, then repeat the process for the second area. Then take both multiplications and add them together to get the total surface area of the room.If your room is more complicated with multiple rectangles/squares, then just repeat the above process, but consider the extra rectangles/squares and add them all together.We recommend adding an extra 5% allocation of flooring for wastage.
